Jehovah Nissi - The Lord as Our Banner in Business Battles

business jehovah nissi strategy May 08, 2024

This week, like the last has been eventful and abounding with the mercies of the Lord. And I drew inspiration from a powerful epithet of God, Jehovah Nissi, which means "The Lord is My Banner."

In the ancient context, a banner was more than a flag—it was a rallying point, a symbol of protection and victory that guided and unified armies during battles.

In our entrepreneurial journeys, adopting this divine perspective can be transformative, especially in the midst of business challenges that seem daunting.

Consider the epic battle in Exodus 17, where Joshua leads the Israelites against Amalek. Moses, with the staff of God, stations himself on a hill, supported by Aaron and Hur.

When Moses’ hands are raised, symbolizing dependence on God’s power, Israel prevails; when his hands fall, Amalek gains the upper hand.

This vividly illustrates that our victories in business, as in life, are not by our strength alone but by keeping our mission aligned under God’s command.

God as Our Banner in Business

In the modern marketplace, we too face our Amaleks—perhaps not armed adversaries, but challenges like fierce competition, market volatility, or internal team conflicts.

In these battles, Jehovah Nissi offers us a declaration and a promise: not only does God go before us, but He also fights for us, ensuring our victory.

Strategic Partnerships Divinely Orchestrated

Just as Moses had Aaron and Hur, God provides us with strategic partnerships—destiny helpers positioned to uphold our arms in the heat of battle.

Whether it’s a mentor, a business advisor, or a supportive community, these alliances are often heaven-sent, aligning perfectly with our needs to bolster our endurance and influence.

Applying Divine Strategy

Business can indeed feel overwhelming when you lack a clear strategy.

But here’s the divine twist: when we acknowledge God as our CEO and strategist, we gain access to unrivaled wisdom and insight.

Implementing strategies that transcend conventional wisdom not only propels our businesses forward but does so with an integrity and effectiveness that secular tactics can't replicate.

Just as I am dedicated to helping struggling entrepreneurs with actionable, God-inspired strategies, remember that you are never alone in your endeavors.

God aligns your path with individuals who complement and elevate your mission.

Building Altars of Remembrance

After the victory, Moses builds an altar naming it Jehovah Nissi and acknowledges the perpetual war against opposition, signifying that our struggles may persist but so too will God’s banner over us.

Quick sidebar in case you're wondering, no you do not need to build an altar of rememberance to God today as a believer of Jesus Christ because we are under the new covenant...doing so would be witchcraft...

whew ... glad we're on the same page now.. okay back to what I was saying...

Each challenge overcome is an altar of remembrance—testifying to God’s faithfulness and our growth.

So, as we navigate our business landscapes, let's rally under the banner of Jehovah Nissi, embracing His promises of victory and support.

Now that you know all this, I hope you're ready to let God lead your business strategies so that they are not just fruitful but also glorifying to Him!

Keep yur heart open to heavenly partnerships, trusting that with Jehovah Nissi, our battles lead to blessings, and our conflicts to greater conquests.

Because, truly, when God is our banner, the business battlefield becomes a ground of blessing.
