Taking a Leap of Faith
Dec 06, 2024I overcame fear... or so I thought.
When I started B. Tsidkenu & Co., I thought the hardest part would be crafting the vision. I was wrong, that part came easy to me, thank goodness. The real challenge was stepping out in faith to make that vision a reality.
I thought about everything anyone scared out of their mind to do anything would think. Here are a few honorable mentions:
- What if I fail? ... again?
- What if I can't find my clients?
- What if (insert outlandish accusation from the accuser aka satan here).
Quick sidebar: Shut up the voice of the accuser with the blood of Jesus and keep it pushing. If you resist the devil, he has no choice but to flee, that's James 4:7.
Anyway, back to the whole fear situation. Turns out there's another f-word that counters fear without breaking a sweat—faith.
Faith isn’t just believing everything will work out, oh no—it’s trusting God even when the path is unclear. It feels scary because you have to relinquish control, which in turn causes a lot of disconfort. But let's face it, staying where you’re comfortable? That’s much scarier.
Taking a leap of faith doesn’t mean the fear vanishes—fear is sneaky and it pushes back. But your tools, the Word of God, tells you to be anxious for nothing—Philippians 4:6. It means you leap anyway, knowing God will catch you without a doubt.
To anyone standing on the edge of their own leap: trust Him. The unknown isn’t as uncertain as it seems when God is directing your steps.
For His Glory, Always,
Bernadette
